A KWAZULU NATAL WOMAN ATTACKED TO DEATH AS ACCUSED OF WITCHCRAFT

A KwaZulu-Natal woman was allegedly hacked to death by a man she knew after being accused of witching.

The woman from Mzczini was allegedly attacked by a panga in her home.

The 22-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder. He accused her of engaging in witchcraft.

Lieutenant Colonel Tulaini Zwani, a police spokesperson, said the woman was only 22 years old and "was beaten by known suspects."

Zwane said the man appeared in the Mtuzzini District Court on Friday.
